NDIS
NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme):
The NDIS provides funding for exercise physiologist services in Western Australia for participants with permanent and significant disabilities that impact their functional capacity. Exercise physiologists can be engaged under the "Improved Health and Wellbeing" support category to deliver evidence-based exercise interventions that help participants achieve their goals related to physical function, strength, cardiovascular health, and overall wellbeing. NDIS participants can access these services through their individual funding plans, with exercise physiologists required to be registered with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and have appropriate NDIS provider registration to deliver services under the scheme.
